Abstract

NOGUERA HIDALGO, Ángela Lucía  and  CASTRO RIOS, Guido Angello. The organization-environment relationship, contributions from kurt dopfer's ontology and evolutionary economics: The organization as a system of rules. Cuad. Econ. [online]. 2022, vol.41, n.87, pp.409-426.  Epub Jan 24, 2023. ISSN 0121-4772.  https://doi.org/10.15446/cuad.econ.v41n87.95102.

The paper proposes a conceptual perspective for the understanding of the organization-environment (O-E) relationship from the evolutionary framework; the review draws on study perspectives related to this field. Evolutionary theory is used as a framework for understanding the behavior of social systems. The paper refers to the evolutionary ontological framework proposed by the evolutionary economist Kurt Dopfer, in this framework the organization is understood as a system of rules. Finally, a discussion is established on the contributions that could be achieved from the proposed theoretical perspective in the study of organizational behavior, especially understanding the organization as a system of activities developed in changing environments in which adaptation is possible.
