Abstract
ALZATE ZULUAGA, Mary Luz and CARVAJAL-LONDONO, Yulieth. Trajectories and Forms of Political Configuration of Women Victims of the Armed Conflict in the Region of Urabá, Department of Antioquia, Colombia. Estud. Polit. [online]. 2023, n.67, pp.213-238. Epub Oct 10, 2023. ISSN 0121-5167. https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.espo.n67a09.
In this article presents the case of women victims of the armed conflict in Urabá region of Antioquia, Colombia, and the different life trajectories traced by them between the 1990s and the 2000s, making visible the humanitarian crisis, the absence of the government in the face of it, and the impacts on women and their lives. The guiding question is: how do women who have lived through situations of violence manage to move from a victimization trajectory to weave others of a therapeutic nature, of recognition, accompaniment and leadership, and to position themselves socially and politically in their territories as women leaders? The experiences, voices and practices of women are the methodological starting point to understand their political trajectory and their contributions to the construction of democracy. Focus groups and interviews are conducted with activists of women's movements, members of social organizations, academics, women leaders and protagonists of the region. One of the results is the political configuration of women in Urabá and its impact on the construction of welfare conditions in their communities and the contribution of alternatives to the armed conflict.
