Abstract

This article describes and analyzes some tense situations indigenous women have to endure living in the Colombian-Ecuadorian border. As a result they are exposed to an intersection of vulnerabilities, because they are women, native inhabitantsand they live in this particular region. Recovering traditional medicine becomes greatly relevant to reassure themselves in the difference, strengthen their ethnic identity and as a form of resistance.
