Abstract

In face the increasingly valuation of the traditional agro-foods products and the more and more social and economic vulnerability in the Latin-American rural localities, there is one trend to vertical integration of the production through agro-industrialization in the family farm. The central objective of this paper is to point and to analyze the importance of the family agroindustries in the dynamic of development of Brazilian rural areas, specially the agro-industries trajectories in the South of country. This study it is based in common indicators to show the importance of small agro-industries for the process of improvement of family farms.
