Abstract

CASAS, José de Jesús et al. Multi-criteria prioritization for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Ing. Desarro. [online]. 2015, vol.33, n.2, pp.172-197. ISSN 0122-3461.  https://doi.org/10.14482/inde.33.2.6309.

This paper presents an application of the AHP methodology to select a waste electrical and electronic equipment (weee) to be considered in the design of a reverse logistics chain for the integrated management of the solid waste that those appliances generate. This work is the first step for the design of the logistics chain and has been addressed through the mul-ticriteria viewpoint due to the importance of the WEEE environmental and economic impacts. The paper includes abroad and detailed characterization of the electrical and electronic equipment with the greatest presence in Colombian homes. The exposed methodology can be easily replicated for any other type of equipment or solid waste in the configuration process of the reverse supply chain. For the specific case presented here, cathodic ray and LCD TVs have been selected.

Keywords : analytic hierarchy process; integrated solid waste management iSWM; multicriteria methods; reverse logistics; waste electrical and electronic equipment WEEE.
