The occurrence of the longfin mako Isurus paucus is reported in the Colombian Caribbean for the first time. Three specimens were captured, one was caught by artisanal fishermen in Concha bay and the two others were captured in the open sea by an industrial fishing boat. This is the first evidence of the occurrence of this species in shallow and offshore waters of the Colombian Caribbean.
