Abstract

VESGA-FERREIRA, Juan Carlos  and  GRANADOS-ACUNA, Gerardo. Statistical Model on Throughput Behavior of LAN Networks over Power Line Communications Technology. Ing. Univ. [online]. 2012, vol.16, n.2, pp.433-447. ISSN 0123-2126.

The performance is without doubt one of the aspects of greatest interest in the global analysis in networks LAN, considering the effect it produces on the end user. The performance can be defined according to various points of view, allowing the incorporation of other forms of assessment depending on the object of interest in particular. Basically, the most common parameters for evaluating the performance of a network are: Throughput, use of the canal and various measures of retardation. This article is an experimental analysis of behavior of the Throughput in networks LAN on Power Line Communications (PLC), under the use of network adapters supported with standard HomePlug 1.0.

Keywords : Throughput; PLC; HomePlug; ANOVA; statistic model.
