Analysis of equipment can contribute to the treatment of development issues beyond a sustainability perspective, so it takes the concept of territorial cohesion as a synonym for balance, and is a benchmark for thinking about the development of territories depending on its people. From the relationship between the distribution of equipment and economic functionality of some areas in Cartagena de Indias this type of exercise tends to show the regional imbalances that can be reduced by inserting cohesion as a tool for land use planning processes.
