Abstract
HURTADO, Daniel. The Concept of the Political:: The Need for a (Inevitably Temporary) Criterion. rev.estud.soc. [online]. 2013, n.45, pp.136-143. ISSN 0123-885X.
"The Concept of the Political: The Need for a (Inevitably Temporary) Criterion" is an exact title, useful and suggestive. This paper begins with the discussion developed by Carl Schmitt in his book The Concept of the Political (Der Begriff des Politischen - Original German Title) and its main arguments. After a review of the main arguments by other theorists of his time (Albert Camus with his notion of rebellion, Jacques Derrida with the concepts of possible and eventual, and Max Weber to the intentions of politic as a vocation), said arguments are discussed with the objective of proving the transitory nature of the substance of political issues from a Schmittian perspective. Finally, we present the major conclusions of the document.
