Abstract

Objective
To analyze the use of active methodologies in the teaching-learning process of bioethics, from the perspective of the academics of health courses at a public university in Bahia.
Methods
This is an exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The project was approved by the Ethics and Research Committee (CEP) of the University, under opinion of No. 805 380.
Results
Of the participants, 69.1% agreed that bioethics teaching should be developed dynamically, with active involvement of all agents in the training, and for 77.9% of these, discussion of concrete cases is a facilitative strategy of future professional activity.
Conclusion
It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen the teaching of bioethics and the use of active methodologies, in order to awaken critical and reflexive analysis in academics.
