Abstract
SACRISTAN, Andrés Felipe. Economic reintegration of illegal group ex-combatants in the Meta department. Rev.econ.inst. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.43, pp.223-247. Epub Feb 03, 2021. ISSN 0124-5996. https://doi.org/10.18601/01245996.v22n43.10.
This research analyzes the effects of the reintegration policy in Colombia in the development of educational capacities, labor enrollment, and income generation. For this, the we used a mixed research method that integrated qualitative and quantitative strategies based on the observation of a group of 296 excombatants in the Department of Meta. The results show that although some benefits improve-certain human development capacities of the individuals, there are still some challenges regarding access to education, labor formalization, and entrepreneurial activities. Finally, the document suggests recommendations for the reintegration of former FARC combatants and some adjustments to the current reintegration model.
