Abstract
QUESADA, Esteban. Object, time and colectivity in The autumn of the patriarch. discus.filos [online]. 2012, vol.13, n.21, pp.245-262. ISSN 0124-6127.
This paper describes the construction of The autumn of the patriarch&39;s temporal dimension, through the application of an "objectual archeology" that incorporates elements of the noetic-noematic analysis of the eidetic phenomenology, which are applied to the reading of the novel. The analysis reveals that in The autumn of the patriarch there is a complex of relations among the concepts of eternity, history and death that result from the way collectivity is faced with the reconstruction of spaces and objects that remained through dictatorship, particularly the presidential palace and the patriarch&39;s dead-body. The paper shows how this "reconstruction of reality" raises a phenomenological question and a political possibility for Latin America peoples.
