Abstract
RICO-RAMIREZ, Camilo; CHACON-CHACON, Freddy and URIBE-PEREZ, Sandra. Participative design experiences in Colombia. “Intelligent” transformation of territories. Bitácora Urbano Territorial [online]. 2019, vol.29, n.3, pp.117-126. ISSN 0124-7913. https://doi.org/10.15446/bitacora.v29n3.70143.
This article presents some results of the research project "Participatory design within the framework of the intelligent city", which explores in depth the study of processes of urban and rural transformation, involving citizens in a participatory manner. The main findings arise from direct research with the communities in the areas studied, trying to understand the actors, interests and conflicts arising from these transformations. Several peripheral and marginal areas of cities and municipalities were defined in Colombia, with the aim of generating a counterpoint to the dynamics of large urban centers. From the conclusions, a broader understanding of these phenomena is generated, which highlights the importance of real and effective participation of citizens in planning and intervention of the territory and establishes the possibilities of ICTS to promote and optimize these processes.
