Abstract

The relationship between financial development and economic growth is subject of analysis in many studies worldwide. Financial development is a necessary condition more enough not for the growth of economies. This paper analyzes the relationship between financial development and economic growth in Venezuela for the period 1963-2008. Using an econometric model, results mainly show a positive relationship between financial indicators and indicators of economic growth, manufactured from economic and financial data available.
