This article analyzes the world economy development in 2012 for developed, underdeveloped and Latin American countries, emphasizing the Colombian economy and analyzing the labor market. Finally, prospects for Colombia in 2013 are exposed. In this article a comparative analysis is realized using the main macroeconomic indicators for the most outstanding economies in Latin America, additionally there is an analysis for these indicators in the time and taking into account a sectorial analysis for the case of Colombia. There is an analysis for the development of Colombian labor force and for the prospects which have been done for 2013
