MONTEALEGRE GONZALEZ, José Vicente; DELGADO CORTES, Alberto  and  CUBILLOS CALDERON, Carlos Hernán. Relations between management models and strategic thinking in agrobusiness companies in Tolima (Colombia). Pensam. gest. [online]. 2017, n.42, pp.26-47. Some of the key success factors of modern business are supported by both its management model and strategic thinking, by its administrative guidance (tasks, people and structure), and the management process (formulation, implementation and strategic evaluation) adopted. This research is descriptive and had, as its study object, agribusiness companies of the department of Tolima, Colombia, according to the characterization presented in the "Vision Tolima 2025" and the International Standard Industrial Classification - ISIC, in which emerge the activities directly related to the productive chains with the greatest potential for development and growth, (fruits, meat and dairy, and fish). The findings reflect the state in which agribusiness companies and economic activities are referenced, their potential for future management and the theoretical model that can guide them.

Keywords : Agribusiness; management and strategic.
