Abstract

TLNOCO-AMADOR, JOSUÉ R. Identifying Constructs of Religiosity in College Students in Mexico. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.3, pp.807-829. ISSN 1657-9267.

This paper analyzes the religiosity and its factors in a Mexican sample. It was constructed a Likert Scale about the attitudes of religiosity in university students, with 64 items (alpha .935, validity 60.76%). The sample was 880 students of public and private universities in the Mexico City. The results showed statistical differences by university and sex (p<.05), but men and women was more closed than another studies argues. The religiosity is composed by factors as beliefs, practices, perceptions, not just the simple question "what is your religion?"
