Law is forced to provide a continuous and rapid protection to events occurring in the electronic era and not only extraordinary events of social impact but also what society continuously produces. Out of this, it is worth mentioning human intelligence works. These new technologies have made possible to develop copyrights in a digital environment to let access to an increasingly number of persons through information networks and highways such as Internet. Although this digital era socializes scientific, artistic, and cultural knowledge allowing human spirit work to reach the farthest places in extremely short periods of time, we cannot forget that such low prices offered to the public is not free. Owners of copyrights could be losing their property and use of some rights, especially those involving patrimonial nature, if some measures are not taken. For that reason, we have to face the hard work to protect works and benefits in the digital environment and some new exploitation norms should be implemented in benefit of authors, without damaging the content of those limits imposed to copyrights.
Keywords : Copyright; technological measures; copyright limits; copy for a private use; beneficiaries.
