Abstract

The article shows the artistic process of John Mario Ortiz. Through the analysis and discussion on his works and artistic interventions, it describes the most relevant thematic issues in his body of work: critique on nature representations, aesthetic serialism in edification projects and idealization related to urban and architectonic projection. The use of different resources and techniques suggests a meaningful hypothesis: the artist is a kind of translator, a person who goes through different representation and construction systems, in order to study its ideological and political implications.
