The present research article evaluates the usefulness of the implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT) for small and medium-sized enterprises of the export sector of Cartagena-Colombia. We used the statistical technique of analysis of Main Factors (AFP), which made it possible to identify the correlation of 8 variables in the data set of 82 formally registered companies in the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce for the period 2015. As a result, it was found that the factors e-mailpyme (95%), webpyme (73%), accebanca (69%) and platdian (63%), represent the technological tools of information and communications with greater availability, usefulness and functionality promoting the improvement of internal processes of quality and competitiveness in the cluster exporter ; however it should support the implementation of new technology platforms related to sistinfproduct (27%) and vtaselectron (49%), in order to facilitate the management of the productive processes and management.
