There is a directly proportional relationship between education and technological advances, that is, as technology evolves, education should also be at the forefront of these technological advances, incorporating them into their academic training processes. This article presents the results of the research carried out at the Centro Tutorial de San Juan Nepomuceno of the University of Cartagena (Cartagena-Colombia); whose objective was to determine the perception of students about the influence of Information and Communication Technologies -ICT- in their academic training, based on the technological tools made available by the institution under study. The methodology was descriptive; a literature review was conducted on ICT in education. Subsequently the instruments used to collect information were developed, evaluated, and applied. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the perception that students have about the influence of ICT in their academic training is highly significant, they also consider that the institution in question must improve its technological infrastructure.
