Abstract

Based on the book entitled Etnografía Makuna (Århem, Cayón, Angulo & García, 2004), among other relevant research on Amazonian ethnology, this work explores in the main theories and issues in-volved in the multidimensional nature of the accounting measurement, regarding the makuna men, or Ide masã (Water People), from a comparative point of view between the West and the traditional and ancestral knowledge from this Tukano ethnic group that inhabits the rain forest of the Colombian Vaupés.
