Abstract
MORI, Valéria D. and GONZALEZ REY, Fernando Luis. Social representations as a subjective process: a case study of hypertension. CS [online]. 2010, n.5, pp.221-240. ISSN 2011-0324. https://doi.org/10.18046/recs.i5.457.
In the present paper, we discuss the subjective configurations and the different social representations related to a patient with hypertension. Through the analysis, it is possible to understand distinctive subjective processes that are organized by the experience of patients with hypertension, and the way in which social representations exert influence over their way of life, as well as the subjective sense associated to the disease and illness.
