ALBA-TAMAYO, Yenny Constanza; ALVAREZ, Aura Lucy; DAZA-PACHECO, Adriana and OSPINA-ALVARADO, María Camila Camila. Family Dynamics and Conceptions of Peace and Coexistence: Influence on Relational Processes at School. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp.56-79. ISSN 2145-0366.
The research in which is based this article aimed at comprehending how conceptions about peace and coexistence from sixth and seventh grade students with relational and familiar difficulties influence in relational school processes. It also aimed at encouraging processes of peaceful coexistence. For doing so, emerging and preliminary categories such as family, personal and social abilities, communication, peaceful coexistence and school were approached from a systemic perspective and social constructivism. Some students and their families participated in workshops and semi-structured interviews. The research was qualitative from the case study with narrative categorical analysis. Results allowed to comprehend family as enabler for the development of their daughters and sons' abilities and as influence for the construction of their subjectivities. Likewise, it was identified the role of communication, from generative language, to create realities, hear multiple voices and transform conflict into an opportunity for peace construction of peace and coexistence from everyday practices at home and school.
