Abstract
MUNOZ GARCIA, Pablo Alexander; GAMBOA SUAREZ, Audin Aloiso and MONTES MIRANDA, Alex Javier. Reviewed and democratic participation: understanding discourses of educational actors. Zona prox. [online]. 2015, n.22, pp.56-68. ISSN 2145-9444.
This paper presents the results of a study that sought to understand the discourses related to the critical and democratic participation of educational actors aimed at promoting participatory impact on public-political matters. The methodological approach to research is part of the qualitative - hermeneutical paradigm and focus groups were used as data collection techniques and semi-structured interviews as a means to access the discursive consciousness of participants. The results evidence that the representation of participation usually reduces the possibility of expressing personal opinions, based on biased criticisms that have only negative aspects of sociopolitical landscape but that, in turn, allows the emergence of new scenarios and intentions of participation. In the same way, speeches related with the authority of educators and freedom of students were understood, considered as a requirement to be democratically intervened.
