Abstract

QUIROGA CRUZ, Angela Marcela. Finding Equal-Love Partnership: Partner Love of Women Peace Signatories, During and After the War. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.2, pp.155-193.  Epub July 02, 2024. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v25n2.101858.

This article is based on the reflections and analysis of interviews conducted with five women who signed the FARC-EP peace agreement, for an investigation about the love between partners of these women, in the context of the reincorporation of this extinct guerrilla group. After the signing of the peace agreement, it gathers narratives on how they lived their relationships during and after the war. Five years after the signing of the agreement, the balance shows a new form of love that goes against the concept of romantic love, challenging the participants of the study to read their subjectivity even from the possibility of individualization, and to understand partner love as a political experience that crosses the subjectivity of human relationships.

Keywords : Individualization; companionate love; gender roles; love; patriarchy; peace; women; war.
