Abstract

VARGAS REINA, Jenniffer; ORTIZ CAMARGO, Diana Patricia  and  LOPEZ ORTIZ, Cristian David. Challenges for the Reincorporation of the FARC-EP Ex-Combatants. Analysis Based on the Results of the City Census. Trab. soc. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.2, pp.271-307.  Epub July 02, 2024. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v25n2.102353.

The Peace Accords between the ex-combatants of the FARC-EP guerrilla and the Colombian Government promoted an innovative approach to Reincorporation that challenged reintegration as a traditional perspective of the DDR Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration process. However, after six years of implementation of these agreements, various challenges have hindered an adequate reincorporation process. Considering the results of the city census of signatories of the Peace Agreement residing in Bogotá, interviews and four focus groups, the article analyzes the challenges that the signatories of the agreement have had to carry out their reincorporation with guarantees.

Keywords : Colombia; District Census; FARC-EP; Peace Agreement; peace signatories; reincorporation.
