This article presents a second edition of the ranking results of the best law programs in Colombia, based on their legal research output. The main source is the 2018 call for research sponsored by the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. This measurement and recognition of research groups is a useful barometer to weigh the study results. The analysis looks specifically at the research outcomes associated with undergraduate and graduate law programs. It examines the relationship between research output and the qualified registry of PhD programs, QM certified standards, access to quality undergraduate and graduate law programs, and other relevant public policy aspects in higher education. In summary, the reader will find this a useful article to assess various processes of higher education in legal studies.
