Abstract
PERDOMO ROMERO, Alix Yaneth; RAMIREZ PERDOMO, Claudia Andrea and GALAN GONZALEZ, Edna Fabiola. Association of family functionality parent-adolescent in Neiva. av.enferm. [online]. 2015, vol.33, n.1, pp.94-103. ISSN 0121-4500. https://doi.org/10.15446/av.enferm.v33n1.40105.
Objective: To analyze the association of certain familiar functionality for parents and their teenage children, by scoring the ASF-E scale. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 220 families with teenagers with children between 13 and 18 years, linked to an educational institution of Neiva (Colombia) on 2012. Two instruments for the collection of information were used: a survey of socio-demographic data and the Scale for the Assessment of Family Functionality ASF-E. Results: No significant difference was found in the score made by parents and children, since the low level of functionality were placed 68,6% and 69% respectively, while the average was 28,2% and 30,5%. Conclusion: Families with teenagers-subject of study have a predominant family level functionality at a low level, reflected in inadequate substitution of affective demands of young people. Statistically significant association between perceived family functioning children was found with respect to the parent or guardian.
