Abstract

This article presents some findings from the study of young graduates of the Home Tutor program implemented by the Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (Colombian Institute for Family Welfare) in the city of Manizales, Colombia for the protection and reestablishment of children and youth formerly part of armed groups. The methodological strategy to gain insight into the opinions of this population was the application of focus group offering scenarios of political socialization to share discussions, stories and experiences in the exercise of citizenship and civilian life.
