Abstract

GARCIA PORRAS, Marcela. Reflections of a Social Work Practitioner on the Land Restitution Policy. Trab. soc. [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.2, pp.141-154. ISSN 2256-5493.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v20n2.74309.

From a reflexive stance, I review my experience and that of some peers in the implementation of the land restitution policy, within the framework of the Colombian armed conflict. Identifying the symbolic space of the male or female social worker in the context of peacebuilding practice is an exercise that involves a dialogue among theory, professional experience, subjectivity, and the political beliefs of those intervening. The professional, dynamic, and historic place that can be narrated from the voice of the other is the guiding thread of this reflection, which is situated in a time and place that interpellates us constantly.

Keywords : academic practice; land restitution policy; Land Restitution Unit; narrative; reflection; Social Work.
