Abstract
BENDRATH, Eduard Angelo and ORTIZ, Ana Paula Thrizotte. Physical activity level of family health care policy users. Rev. salud pública [online]. 2019, vol.21, n.6, pp.622-627. Epub June 16, 2022. ISSN 0124-0064. https://doi.org/10.15446/rsap.v21n6.76844.
Objective
To analyze the relationship between the level of physical activity and the incidence of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCD's) on users of the policy of health care to the family.
Methods
Descriptive survey type with a quantitative approach. Questionnaires were applied on the level of physical activity (IPAQ) and on the incidence of previous diseases, being the analyzes made from binary logistic regression.
Results
The sample was composed of a global sample 117 people. The types of predominant indicated diseases were hypertension (33.3%), followed by problems in column (18.8%), and cholesterol (15.2%). The individuals who were classified on the IPAQ as very active (OR 0.086; p=0.037) and active (OR 0.095; p=0.045) showed protective factors in relation to the incidence of diseases.
Discussion
Based on the obtained data, it can be noted that the regular practice of physical activity is an important factor in the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and should be included as permanent action in national politics of health care to the family in Brazil.
