BASTIDAS-BELTRAN, Guillermo A. and URREGO-MENDOZA, Zulma C.. Psychosocial rehabilitation of victims of the armed conflict: approaches between public health and social psychology. Rev. salud pública [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.5, pp.1-. Epub Feb 06, 2023. ISSN 0124-0064. https://doi.org/10.15446/rsap.v23n5.96940.
This essay is based on the need to make explicit contribution that community social psychology makes to the understanding of a process of reparation for victims of human rights violations and infractions of the international humanitarian law.
To account for this contribution, it begins recognizing why psychosocial reparation could be an asset for public health based on the review of the Public Health Plan 20011-2021, pro-posed by Ministry of Health in Colombia. After those four elements that social psychology contributes to public health are described to carry out psychosocial rehabilitation processes that are more consistent and appropriate to the needs of the people participating in them.
Keywords : psychology, social; public health; armed conflicts; psychiatric rehabilitation; psychosocial intervention; psychosocial support systems (source: MeSH, NLM).
