HODGE DUPRE, Eduardo Andrés. Visions of just war in the framework of global terrorism Jihadism versus the West. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2020, vol.18, n.32, pp.720-745. Epub Oct 01, 2020. ISSN 1900-6586. https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.643.
The war against global terrorism is a complex issue that seems to have no end at present. This article analyzes of some jihadists' dialogues and some presidents' of Western countries to show their connection to the just war tradition. The intention is to determine whether the jihadists who attack and threaten the West and the Western governments that combat them and have been their victims view their cause as a just one. Especially given that these enemies see the other as the initial attacker. Ultimately, these parties' absolute conceptions could explain why a potential end to the conflict is undetermined.
