Abstract
RODRIGUEZ OREJUELA, Héctor Augusto and HERNANDEZ ESPALLARDO, Miguel. Building an investment index into inter-organizational knowledge transfer mechanisms. Cuad. Adm. [online]. 2008, vol.21, n.35, pp.279-305. ISSN 0120-3592.
This article presents the development of a multidimensional investment scale for knowledge transfer mechanisms in inter-organizational relations, using formative indicators. Thus, a measuring system is proposed for this concept, considered of extreme importance in recent research on company competitiveness and inter-organizational relations. To prepare the index, the methodology developed by Adamantios Diamantopoulos and Heidi Winklhofer was applied, using structural equation models, specifically the Multiple Indicator - Multiple Cause (MIMIC) model. The literature on knowledge transfer in inter-organizational relations is reviewed, which enables evaluating the concept domain specification. Finally, the proposed scale is compared to and contrasted against an empirical study conducted in the context of the relations that garment manufacturing companies located in several cities in Colombia have with their customers.
Keywords : Knowledge transfer; inter-organizational relations; formative indexes; MIMIC model.
