Abstract
MORENO-SANCHEZ, Mario; GOMEZ CRUZ, Arley and GOMEZ TAPIAS, Jorge. Report of dinosaur tracks in the Iguaque Fauna and Flora Sanctuary, near to Chiquiza (Boyacá, Colombia). bol.geol. [online]. 2011, vol.33, n.2, pp.107-118. ISSN 0120-0283.
Numerous dinosaur tracks occur in the fine-grained sandstones of the Arcabuco Formation, near Chiquiza, Boyacá (Colombia). The tracks were made by theropods, sauropods and ornithopods. Local depositional paleoenvironment was fluvial (riverbank). The age of the beds at dinosaur tracksites could be Late Jurassic or Early Cretaceous. New for Colombia, we are introducing new sites with dinosaur remains and footprints.
