This study inquires into the discursive configuration of passionate subject in the Plan de vida para un sacerdote, pastor de almas, written by Colombian Archbishop Manuel José Mosquera and published in 1848. In particular it focuses on your Modelo de examen particular oriented to the control of the dominant passion. The approach is done from the Semiotics of the passions aiming at restoring the emotional aspects as can be seen in the speech. The main objective is to apply the semiotic analytical course to own prescriptive text of nineteenth-century Traditionalist Catholic, and thus contribute to the semiotic study of passions in inquiry space rarely visited.
