This paper attempts to identify the words that are used to build pejorative phraseological units according to several semantic fields. A linguistic sample has been gathered from students who speak Potosí Spanish dialect. The phrase structure, its components, the word frequency, and the combination of semantic fields are analyzed. As to the methodology, a survey was made which included 800 students from different levels: primary, secondary and university, living in San Luis Potosí. They were presented the following instruction: Write all vulgar words you know. Results indicate that these phraseological units are focused on 'parts of the body', 'sexuality', and scatological words.
