Abstract
NUSTEZ, Carlos Eduardo and ACEVEDO, Julio César. Evaluating using Penicillium janthinellum Biourge on the efficiency of phosphoric fertilisation of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L. var. Diacol Capiro). Agron. colomb. [online]. 2005, vol.23, n.2, pp.290-298. ISSN 0120-9965.
This work was aimed at evaluating the effect of Penicillium janthinellum B. (reported as phosphorus solubilising microorganism in the soil) on the efficiency of phosphoric fertilisation of soil for the potato crop ('Diacol Capiro' variety). Seven treatments were evaluated in four experiments carried out in the Colombian departments of Cundinamarca, Boyacá and Antioquia. These treatments corresponded to five levels of P2O5 applied to the soil (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 kg· ha-1) combined with applying Fosfosol® biofertiliser (2 L· ha-1) containing Penicillium janthinellum B. fungus, compared to two witness treatments (absolute and commercial). The variables analysed were P concentration in foliar tissue, dry leaf matter of leaves, stems and tubers in flowering, specific gravity and tuber yield. The results revealed that there was no response to applying Penicillium janthinellum B. and responses to edaphic phosphorous levels were observed in some localities. The P in foliar tissue ranged from 0.14% to 0.34%, no difference being observed amongst treatments. Average yield varied between 29.7 and 35.7 t· ha-1.
