ARCHANJO, Miguel de and TORMOHLEN, Simoni. Social Technology in the Context of Critical Socio-environmental Education: A Societal Educational Action. Rev. Fac. Cienc. Tecnol. [online]. 2022, n.51, pp.317-335. Epub Oct 22, 2022. ISSN 0121-3814.
The present research aims to investigate and understand the theoretical-methodological relations between Critical-transformative Environmental Education (EA) and Social Technology (TS) and their contributions in societal educational actions, in an attempt to overcome local socio-environmental demands of a society. community. This proposal was carried out during a formative / educational process involving teachers and children of early childhood education, at Escola Padre Giuseppe Bonomi and local residents, about the socio-environmental contradictions present in a community located in the municipality of Ilhéus, state of Bahia. Methodologically, the research comprised two stages: 1) formative / educational process in the elaboration of didactic-pedagogical activities from the local social / socio-environmental demands; 2) implementation of didactic-pedagogical activities on these demands, via TS. The information was obtained by means of video recordings made during the formative process and in the implementation of activities and analyzed through the Discursive Textual Analysis, having as a reference two categories a priori: I) The emancipation of social actors from a societal educational action in the community school; II) Socioenvironmental Conception Emancipating local social actors. Among the results, it was found that the articulation between Critical-transformative EA and TS, guided by the Thematic Investigation process, contributed significantly to the formation of critical social actors, as well as to overcome local socio-environ-mental demands.
