SANCHEZ HERRERA, Beatriz; MONTOYA R, Iván Alonso and MONTOYA R, Luz Alexandra. Application of the Integrated Prospective Approach and Strategy to Improve the Teacher Selection Process at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia.. Innovar [online]. 2013, vol.23, n.48, pp.43-54. ISSN 0121-5051.
This article is a result of the application of the integrated perspective approach and strategy to improve the "Academic Excellence" professors' competition held by the General Vice-rector's office at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, the purpose of which is to evaluate and improve the selection process for the University's faculty. It is one of the most distinguished processes within the institution, fostering educational quality by means of the process to select the best research and teaching professors for the university's eight campuses throughout the country. Variable definition tools were used which were then prioritized through structural analysis and application of the IGO matrix and subsequent definition of these scenarios using the Schwartz axes. This was carried out using a panel of experts from the General Vice-rector's office and the continuous improvement process at the faculties, institutes and campuses to establish the strategies to be followed for improving the competition process, which is public and open.
