ORTIZ RIAGA, CAROLINA; DUQUE OROZCO, YENNI VIVIANA and CAMARGO MAYORGA, DAVID. FEMININE ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A REVIEW TO THE STATE OF RESEARCH. Rev.fac.cienc.econ. [online]. 2008, vol.16, n.1, pp.85-104. ISSN 0121-6805.
We present a review of studies on the subject of female entrepreneurship in the light of the approaches of Dyer on entrepreneurial career. The review highlights the fact that although this is an issue that has not been sufficiently studied, there is interest in understanding the factors that influence and determine the female entrepreneurship, specifically as it relates to the creation, development and maintenance of new enterprises. The global trend shows that women create fewer companies than men, but this ratio tends to rise.
Keywords : women entrepreneurship; entrepreneurial careers; business owner women.
