Abstract
TAUCHINA, Ünãgükü; ROMERO, Nathalia Forero and LIZARRALDE, Carolina Rodríguez. Üyeane maûgü: female bodies on the border, territories of exploitation in the Amazon. Nómadas [online]. 2021, n.54, pp.119-133. Epub Jan 15, 2022. ISSN 0121-7550. https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n54a7.
The authors of this article propose a reflection, from the position of indigenous Tikuna women (Magüta), about the defense of bodies and territories torn by exploitation in the Amazon. The paper is based on an ethnographic work carried out in 2017, 2018, and 2019, aimed at describing the fight against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth in the area. The authors conclude by claiming their own meaning of the body-territory-border relationship and highlighting the voices of resistance of indigenous women, especially that of one of them as the author of the text.
