Abstract
CELY-BAUTISTA, María M.; CASTELLAR-ORTEGA, Grey; JARAMILLO-COLPAS, Javier and MEJIA, Iván Romero. Bimetallic nanoparticles: a patents landscape analysis. Ing. compet. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.3, e-20612798. Epub June 26, 2023. ISSN 0123-3033. https://doi.org/10.25100/iyc.v25i3.12798.
The upward development of nanotechnology in the last 30 years, especially in the development of nano- particles for applications in medicine, agriculture, energy, among others, it has sub-stantially impacted the development of scientific articles and patents. This has stimulated the knowledge economy by improving university-industry integration, which benefits everyone in this area of research. The increasing develop- ment of patents leads us to analyze, within a peri-od of 10 years, the emerging technologies in developing metallic and bimetallic nanoparticles. Additionally, the incidence that the production of patents has had on developing this technolo-gy in leading countries such as the United States, China, Australia, and India is shown. This article shows a scientometric analysis of the development of patents the metallic and bime- tallic na-noparticles. Aspects such as patents by country, types of patents, inventors, applicants, and most developed technologies were evaluated. Scopus databases, Espacenet software, and dif-ferent computer tools were used for the analysis.
