Abstract

PONTES PORTELA, Lindon Johnson; DIAS LAUER-LEITE, Iani  and  SANTOS DE NOVAIS, Jaílson. Connectedness to nature and pro-environmental children behavior: review of research in Latin America. Psicol. caribe [online]. 2023, vol.40, n.3, pp.2-2.  Epub Jan 15, 2024. ISSN 0123-417X.

The objective of the study is to systematize the scientific production on connectedness to nature and pro-environmental behavior among children in Latin America, through a qualitative systematic review, using the PRISMA recommendation,, to identify and critically select the literature in the Web of Science, SciELO and Scopus databases. The structured methodological procedures for data analysis and synthesis were based on the Qualitative Evidence Synthesis - SEQ protocol. The systematized data are presented in tables. The SEQ demonstrates that studies on the connectedness between children and nature highlight such connection as a factor that positively influences the whole development of children, mainly in the sense of self-perception with nature.

Keywords : Ecological behavior; Environmental belonging; Childhood; Qualitative systematic review.
