Abstract

GIRRALDO, Reinaldo. Ethics in Michel Foucault or the Possibility of Resistance. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2009, n.10, pp.225-242. ISSN 1794-2489.

In this paper Ii maintain the hypothesis that Michel Foucault’s studies do not lead to a negative thought, a circular one, with no alternatives or to a dead-end. Ddissolving the notion of constituing subject allows the French thinker to make permanent shifts and open his reflection to a quest leading to the proposal of resistance as an art of existing. In that sense, Foucault`s work, in retrospective, turn around subject: subject objectivized by knowledge and power, and subject in the process of subjectivizing himself.

Keywords : Foucault; power; subject; resistance; ethics.
