Abstract
OSORIO JARAMILLO, Liliana and RAVELO CONTRERAS, Ernesto L. Perception of the impact of organizational change in workers from a state university in Bogota: a hermeneutic approach. Psychol. av. discip. [online]. 2011, vol.5, n.1, pp.81-94. ISSN 1900-2386.
This paper reports the results of a research aimed at identifying the perceptions toward organizational change in two officers of a higher education institution in Bogota. Three categories of analysis were established: leadership, communication and attitudes. The analysis of the results obtained allowed the emergence of three additional categories: a history of the change process, characteristics of the institution as a precondition for change, and features of the current institution. It showed that although the change involved a complete transformation of the institution in all its dimensions, the perception of respondents was quite positive, which highlighted the role played by the leaders who provided ongoing guidance and support, a continuous flow of timely and accurate information and an attitude that even though accompanied by natural emotions of fear and uncertainty, was also characterized by openness to consider change as an opportunity both for personal and organizational development.
