Abstract

The participation of the victims of the internal armed conflict in the framework of the implementation of Law 1448 of 2011 has been significant. With the implementation of the set of actions and provisions by the Colombian State in terms of attention, assistance and reparation to victims, it has become evident how individuals and groups have decided to contribute to the truth of the conflict. In this sense, the victim teachers have made valuable contributions; many have assumed the Historical Memory as a valid instrument to clarify the facts of the war and to promote guarantees of non-repetition. However, it is necessary that the participation of this population group be greater, especially if it does so by making use of organizational processes as subjects of rights with political and social responsibility in order to work for a culture of peace.
