Abstract
CORTES C., DANIEL H.; GARCIA A., JOSÉ JAIME and GOMEZ, GILBERTO. MODEL OF FINITE ELEMENTS FOR LINEAL ANALYSIS OF A POROELASTIC MATERIAL TRANSVERSE BY ISOTROPIC. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2005, vol.72, n.145, pp.45-56. ISSN 0012-7353.
The equations of linear poroelasticity and their solution by finite elments are presented considering axial symmetry and a transversely isotropic model for the solid phase. This model can be used to describe the mechanical behavior of poroelastic materials like articular cartilage and some type of soils. The results of the computer program, implemented in the public domain platform Scilab, showed good correlation with the analytical solutions for the case of non confined compression.
Keywords : Poroelasticity; biphasic materials; biologic weaves; anisotropy.
