Abstract

The professor Edmundo Rico Tejada, medical internist and psychiatrist, born in Sogamoso, February 8, 1899, was one of the personalities of the medical world that more seduced the vast public to the long of their life, before dying March 2, 1966. He formed a generation of pupils in the most classic tradition of the French clinical medicine and of the constitutionalist psychiatry of the XIX century. He began conceptual cases with the local psychoanalytical movement and he participated with adorned and irreverent feather in the medical and humanistic debates of his time. He was character brilliant and polemic that stimulated to an entire medical generation with his feverish activity.
